ADULT BIBLE STUDIES 2017-18

Healing” is the theme of this year’s Bible Study series at Holy Trinity Pastoral Unit. Through each of the 5 or 6 studies whether you take one or all, you will discover that God is still healing his beloved children in our time. God’s great desire is to be in a relationship with you and to heal you according to your needs. Healings may be small or large, but they are definitely constant. Join the great adventure of discovering God working in your life as you read and pray the scripture. Bible Studies will begin on Friday, September 8th from 9:45 – 11:45 am at St. John Vianney,  Room 9

An Introduction to Reading the Bible is our first 4 week study. Have you ever started reading the Bible only to find yourself confused or frustrated?  You are not alone! Many people struggle with reading the Bible because it is quite different than anything they have ever read. In this course you will discover how to read the Bible with understanding.

Our next study is The Book of Psalms   which is the largest book in the Bible and the music of the liturgy from Biblical times to the present.  In this class we will discover how God’s people were encouraged to sing their hearts out to their heavenly father. In this book you will learn from the psalmists, how they had a personal relationship with God, and had no inhibitions about telling God how they feel and what they want. Then they have enough room in their hearts to receive what God has for them, and they praise Him from the depths of their hearts too!! This is almost a lost art today. We usually only want to be “politically correct” in our manner of speaking to God. It will surprise you to learn how God really wants you to speak to Him!!!
