Pray the Rosary

The Rosary is the second most powerful form of prayer, after the Holy Mass. Dating back to 1214, when St. Dominic was given the rosary by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself, she asked him to pray to rosary so as “to reach these hardened souls and win them over to God.” Still, her words resound through history as we hear in her apparition to the children of Fatima,”Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world… for she alone can save it.”

This powerful intercessory prayer has not only been known to obtain graces for others, but it has also been known to heal even the simplest ills such as bad feelings, doubts and fears! Our Holy Mother is waiting to embrace and to intercede for us; come and experience this healing form of prayer!

The Rosary leads us to an encounter with Jesus by reflecting on His birth, Life, Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Mary, our Mother, intercedes for us to her Son and brings us into His heart. This prayer group, in its 20th year, follows the Marian Movement of Prayer.

On October 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima told the shepherd children, “I am the Lady of the Rosary”

The Rosary is  prayed by a group of parishioners at St. John Vianney Church Chapel every day except Monday & Sunday.

All are welcome and support is provided if you are learning to pray the rosary.

St. Dominic, came to southern France to preach. While he was praying in a chapel in 1208, Our Lady appeared and taught him the complete rosary prayer, urging him to preach it to the rest of the world as a remedy against heresy and sin.
